This is our favorite cake! It is a warm gooey caramel apple slice of hearty goodness! My mother-in-law introduced this recipe to me and I have to share it! It goes perfectly with vanilla ice cream!!Ingredients | Cinnamon Roll Poke Cake Recipes1 ¾ cups white sugar1 cup vegetable oil2 eggs3 cups chopped Winesap apples2 ½ cups sifted self-rising flour1 teaspoon vanilla extract1 teaspoon ground cinnamon1 cup lightly packed brown sugar½ cup butter½ cup heavy whipping cream1 teaspoon vanilla extractDirectionsPreheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.Combine white sugar, oil, and eggs in a large bowl; beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Add apples, flour, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and cinnamon; beat until a thick batter forms.
